So the Admins final decided to get off their lazy bums and get a meeting together. We decided that since we will not be doing a team based tourney that we should try to get some more games in this time around. So we will be having a total of six games, 4 for PC and 2 for console, these games are all pretty much free for all mode compatible, making each game tournament relatively fast. As you can see from the list of games this is something of a return to roots for us.

FRAGfinity 7: Tentative date: January 2nd - 3rd 2010,  Noon- 4pm

So the FF admins finally got around to having a meeting (only a couple of months late!) and got a few things decided. Here's the info:

Tentative Date: January 2nd - 3rd 2010, Noon on the 2nd till 4pm on the 3rd. (Tentative pending CCA and insurance approval)

Format: Individual Tournament, Separate PCs and Consoles (Just like old times)

Provided Food: Saturday Dinner: Pizza (of course!), Sunday Breakfast: Pancakes (Since they were so popular at FF6)

Entrance Fees: $15.00 in advance, $25 at the door. (Same as always)

As mentioned above, FF7 will be an individual tournament with consoles and PCs separated into their own tournaments, just like old times. This will be a bit more laid back and bit less structured then FF6 was. The other major change is that FF7 will not feature a rhythm game tournament. That is not to say that we will not have GH5/RB2 available, they will be there and get as much play as always just not as part of a tournament.

So as for tournament games for the consoles we are currently thinking to do two games, a shooter (looking very hard at ODST) and a retro fighter.

For the PC side we will be doing our traditional 3 games, some of the names being bantered about include Modern Warfare 2, Wolfenstein, BF1943 and Serious Sam. Got any games you would like to see at the lan party? How about posting them in the forums!
